Sao Café is an offshoot of the successful “Sarah’s Kitchen” in Washington DC, and the principals are committed to ensuring similar culinary, health and safety standards as set in the United States. Our commitment is to provide delicious and healthy meals at an affordable price across all types of palates.
You were either born with it or you had to learn it, and as a child Chef Sarah a.k.a Sarah Ajuonuma has always been fascinated by the activities of the Kitchen.
Peeling Potatoes and prepping Vegetables was just a regular past-time for her growing up, prompting her father to get her a Cookbook on her 12th Birthday. It’s been a whirlwind of recipe making ever since, with her Family, Friends & Clients her best critics.
“Cooking was always a hobby and a fun way for me to spend quality time with my family growing up, especially around the holidays.” – Chef Sarah.
While pursuing her education in the United States, her love for culinary art never diminished. She hosted numerous themed holiday parties just to practice and enhance her skills. Soon enough, she started a company (Sarah’s Kitchen) part-time – a catering service in the Washington DC area, in 2008.
Now settled down in Nigeria, she launched Sao Café, located in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, Nigeria and it has been a natural progression of events ever since.
